The remaining part of our journey, a long stay in gorgeous Trinidad followed by Remedios for Las Parrandas, then onto Viñales, was my favourite part of the trip by far. For the whole bus journey from Havana to Trinidad I had my face pressed up against the glass, watching the scenery change from cityscape to rambling, lush swampland as the sun crept towards the horizon. Havana snapshots

My time in Cuba with my sister was probably one of the most memorable and eventful I've had so far, I smile just remembering it. As I leaf back through my journal, dog eared photos slipping out of the pages and little doodles in the margins, I can recall the smells and vivid colours, the hectic buzz of Havana enveloping us the moment we arrived. I'd love to share some of my trip with you, and hope that my throw away camera and rambling journal entries can do my experience in this beautiful country justice...
